Couples’ taste vary when it comes to choosing the perfect wedding rings. After all, they’ll be wearing it every day for the rest of their lives. It can be a confusing process at first, but thanks to professional jewelers, there are many ways to help figure which rings ultimately speak to the soon-to-wed couple.
First, Canvass & Shop Early
We recommend to start looking for wedding rings as early as Six months prior the wedding ceremony. This will lessen the pressure as it will give the couple an ample time deciding on which ring supplier to consult to, and make way for other equally important wedding preparation activities.
Second, Set a Budget
Now that there’s a jeweler in place, it will be easier to collaborate and decide on every ring detail. One of the first few things to consider is the working budget. The average wedding ring cost is significantly less than an engagement ring. For men, the average is around P30,000, and for women, it's closer to P50,000. Most people choose between Gold and Platinum. Price may vary depending on the ring sizes and other specifications.
Lastly, Consider your Lifestyle
Is your work based at home, or do you often do fieldwork? Are you more exposed to harsh working environment such as being in the construction industry, or do you mostly work in an office setting? While there are a lot of factors to consider, one of the most important is choosing the ring design that's right for you and your lifestyle. To give a brief example, one of our clients is an Architect who actively oversees his projects, wanted a ring that isn’t prone from dents. Instead of a polished finish which can display ring sratches easily, we opted for a brushed matte finish which can hide ring imperfections longer. We also designed him a less wider ring so it would feel as light as possible and won’t hinder him from doing his daily site inspections. These details may seem minor but it is necessary for long-term usage.
